So. After a total of TEN National Poetry Month poetry installments, with 35–count them, THIRTY-FIVE–award-winning poets, we’re celebrating our big finale with YARN fave, Terra Elan McVoy. Terra’s been a part of the YARN family since our humble beginnings, offering us some very cool poem out-takes with commentary from her novel in verse “After the Kiss.” AND she was kind enough to have written a letter of support for us for the Innovations Prize.
So we are pscyhed-psyched-psyched to have an original poem by her (then by her friend Carissa Neff, then her friend Carrie Bennett) in our “Crossing Country Line by Line” project. ESPECIALLY since her latest novel, “Being Friends with Boys” is going to burst into your local bookstores and libraries on May 1. It’s already a Junior Library Guild Selection for 2012, so check it out! We certainly will be.
And stay tune for more of our marathon cross-country National Poetry Month project.
