Winner of the Fall Treats Contest!

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s 3rd Annual Fall Treats Poem Drive & Contest!  We enjoyed reading all of your delicious poems.  They made is so hungry for things we didn’t even know we were craving!  Though it was tough to pick one, we selected Deborah Rocheleau’s ode to homemade bread.  Just try to read it and not head straight to the bakery.

The smell of yeast dough wakes me on this autumn morning.
The house is dim inside, daylight hours shortening.
Shh, don’t lift the cover off the dough. Yeast needs the darkness.
