YARN’s 2017 Pushcart Nominees

2017coverotherpages

YARN is very proud to nominate 6 works from 2016 for the Pushcart Prize Anthology. The Pushcarts are a prestigious collection of works from small literary presses, and it’s published annually. Major writers like Joyce Carol Oates, Anthony Doerr, and Zadie Smith have been selected, though to the best of our knowledge, no YA work has yet been selected–and YARN certainly hopes to have nominated the first!

As usual, it was very tough to select just 6 works to send. After much nail biting and discussion, here were this year’s pieces. CONGRATS to the nominees!

What Is YARN?

It's a brilliant thing to have a place where you can read fresh original short stories by both seasoned YA authors and aspiring teens. YARN is a great tool box for growing up writing. - Cecil Castellucci
