between July and gin
the open window
and the images within
100 pages of squash
in metaphysical moonlight
while a shut-in leptosome
practices pogonotrophy—
we acknowledge such fictions
with the finesse of a scripturient
allowing for a little
artistic reflection on the side—
storms rage
rattling shutters and shaking
diagrammatic architecture
phenomenological constructs
we deal with
and any other jettatura—
amid the infandous
causes for our fears
purple laughter—
we succumb to tarantism
hop to like rabbits
barefoot in the grass
and dance

season four
episode five
history sticks
like a glue
gun six million
scenes a second
pixels and sex
selling Lexapro
a prime minister’s
and a bomber
found guilty
with some missive
about a woman
saved from
drowning children
crunching cereal
Fancy Feast
or Friskies
windshield wipers
on a rainy day
swish swish
swashing . . .
