YARN is thrilled to have been honored by the SCBWI for 3 years in a row, with their Magazine Merit Awards.
- 2015: The first place Award for YA Fiction/Nonfiction went to “Finding Someday in the Dark” by Laura Lyn Keller. & the first runner-up Honor went to “Bang” by K. D. Van Brunt.
- 2014: The first place Award for Fiction went to “Into the Vast” by Laura Williams McCaffrey.
- 2013: The first runner-up Honor for Fiction went to “Swimming Naked” by Stephen Eoannou
We also nominate stories annually for the illustrious Pushcart Anthology, and have high hopes that YARN will be the first YA journal to shatter that particular literary glass ceiling.
